The Tippecanoe School Corporation is pleased to announce it has hired Lou Ann Keeling as the new assistant principal of Hershey Elementary School.
Keeling joins the TSC after serving three years as a Title 1 Instructional Math Coach at Clearwater Elementary School in MSD Washington Township. She has 15 years of teaching experience and holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a master’s degree from Ball State University.
At Hershey, Keeling will assist with student discipline, special education, attendance and other duties at the school of almost 600 students and more than 50 staff members.
“We are excited to have Lou Ann join our Hershey family,” says Hershey Principal Linda Fields. “She brings us a tremendous amount of energy, enthusiasm and fresh ideas about ways we can meet the individual needs of our students using research-based interventions and data-driven instruction.”
Keeling is looking forward to starting her career as an assistant principal at Hershey. “Serving in this capacity, I will continue working with teachers to have a greater educational impact on the entire student body,” Keeling says. “My knowledge of instructional strategies, utilizing achievement data to drive instruction and the desire to meet the needs of all students can have an overall positive impact on the school and allow me to support teachers.”
Keeling will begin her duties as the assistant principal of Hershey Elementary on January 6, 2020.
