The Indiana Department of Education named Ellie Minogue as a Top 10 finalist for Indiana Teacher of the Year. Minogue teaches fourth and fifth grade high ability classes at Klondike Elementary School.

Minogue is excited to be advancing in the selection process. “I feel really honored to be representing my school district and public education,” says Minogue. “I want to thank my Klondike community and everyone who believed in and supported me over the years, especially my husband and all of my past students and families.”

Minogue is a Purdue graduate with more than 12 years of experience teaching. Outside the classroom, she is active in various school, professional and community organizations, such as an advisor to the student council and member of the Tippecanoe County Extension Board.

Each year, the Indiana Teacher of the Year Program (INTOY) works to inspire, rejuvenate, and celebrate the teaching profession by recognizing outstanding teachers from across the state.
