The Tippecanoe School Corporation will begin providing grab-and-go lunches for TSC students beginning Monday, March 23. The meals will be available at no cost to all TSC students in kindergarten through high school.

The TSC Nutrition Services Department will deliver the meals at two locations: Romney Meadows Apartment Homes in Lafayette and Point West Mobile Home Community in West Lafayette. Both locations have stops along the CityBus route.

The lunches will be available starting at noon on a first-come, first-serve basis. The grab-and-go meals will begin Monday, March 23 and continue every Monday until further notice.

The lunch bags will contain a sandwich, fruit, vegetable and milk for five days. Meals must be taken home; no food will be served on site. If there is a line, families must maintain the social distance guideline of six feet.

“Many families need some extra help while students are at home,” says TSC Superintendent Dr. Scott Hanback. “We appreciate the dedicated food service staff who volunteered to come in during spring break to help get this program started.”

The TSC will continue to evaluate this program including the possibility of adding additional pickup locations.
